Since 1798, the name of Dow's Port has been synonymous with the finest wines from the Douro Valley.
The vineyards from which Dow's Port come are centered on the famous Quinta do Bomfim at Pinhao, at the centre of the finest grape growing region in the Alto Duoro.
The present winery at Bomfim was built in 1890 and now behind those walls, the most modern technology combines with old methods to produce superb Port.
Having been allowed to ferment slightly longer, Dow's Port possess a slightly drier finish than other houses.
