Established in 1824 from buildings once used as a meal-mill by the monks at the neardby Pluscarden Priory.
Miltonduff Distillery produces a fragrant, flowery malt with hints of peat and vanilla.
It is said that the Black Burn from which the distillery draws its water, was blessed by a saintly abbot in the 15th century, and that the stone ,on which he knelt was built in to the distilley walls.
