Historical background : The region has been reputable for its wines since the roman colonization 2000 years ago. Very strict rules apply to the vine-growing and wine-making of Côtes-du-Rhône since 1923.
Grape variety : 100% viognier.
Location and soil : South of the Rhône Valley, around Avignon. Clay, gravel and pebblestone.
Vinification : Maceration in temperature controlled (maximun 20° Celsius) stainless-steel vats with racking of the must in process.
Ageing potential : To enjoy its freshness, this wine must be drunk young.
Tasting notes : Nice brilliant gold color. Very fruity nose with outbursts of apricot and citrus. Dry but rich, round and powerful in the mouth, with lots of fruity flavors and a long finish with honey undertones.
Food pairing : White fish (grilled or with gravy), white meat (veal), poultry (chicken), cheeses (fat blue cheese), alone as an apéritif.
Serving temperature : 11°C/52°F. Cool but not chilled.
